1. Still in Chapter 3, explain in your own words "producer-consumer problem".

Ans. For me, producer consumer problem is that while processing of the produces information by the producer that consumed by the consumer there is a problem or a conflict while processing the information or there is a problem that it cannot be solve easily.

2. Describe the differences between long term scheduler, medium term scheduler, and short term scheduler.

Ans. The long term scheduler is a process that brought into the ready queue where the process residing in main memory, ready, and writing to execute and it Invoked very slow. The short term scheduler is a process that it should be execute next and allocates CPU and it invoked very fast and the medium term its use for technical analysis and reference bond.

3. Compare and contrast Direct Communication and Indirect Communication.

Ans. The direct communication and indirect communication is both can send and receive message/ files this two communication has properties of communication link and there link maybe unidirectional or bi-directional and there different with each other is that the direct communication can receive message from process Q, link are established automatically and the links must be associated with exactly, and its also have a pair of communicating links. While the indirect communication message are direct and receive from mailboxes, link established only if process share a common mail box and a link may share several communication links.
